Hugh Dorsey Cade, Jr., 71, of 1470 Stimson Street, Akron, OH. 44320 died peacefully at Cleveland Clinic-Akron General Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center on Sunday, December 3rd, 2017, the same day as his father Hugh Cade, Sr.’s homegoing in 1986, following an extended illness.  He was surrounded by loved ones. Family will receive the bereaved on December 16, at 10am and funeral services will be held at 11am at: Prince of Peace Baptist Church, 844 Garth Avenue, Akron, OH 44320. Rev. Timothy J. Wagner will officiate and burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, 20 feet from his father, brother-in-law and other loved ones.

The dearly departed, Hugh Dorsey Cade, Jr. was born to the late Hugh Cade, Sr. and Curley Eberhardt Cade on October 8, 1946 in Akron, Ohio. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Cade (formerly Dixson), children: Shereen Jackson (Dana), Hugh Cade III, Yvette Cade, and Marla Cade; his grandchildren: Lance, River, Hugh IV, Champane Alexis and Lillian; and his four great grandchildren: Keyon, Kyran, Lacey, and expected baby, Leia. Hugh is preceded in death by his brother Samar E. Cade and survived by his siblings: Ronald E. Cade Sr. (Tinina), Shenita Johnson (Starling), and Donald D. Cade, Sr. (Roxanne, late); along with many nieces and nephews.
Home going celebration will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Baptist Church 844 Garth Ave., Akron, Ohio 44320. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Glendale cemetery. Pastor Waggner, officiating. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1470 Stimson Road, Akron, Ohio 44320.
