Robbie Leon Robinson affectionately known as “Uncle Rob”and/or “Robbo” made his transition to heaven on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Born on July 13, 1961 in Canton, Ohio to the late Eula P. and Howard Robinson, Sr. He was a 1979 graduate of McKinley Sr. High School.  Robbie retired from Aultman Hospital, and was employed by Graco until the time of his passing.  He was the owner and operator of Mr. Robb’s Lawn Care Service.  He currently served as president of The Brothers Production organization.  In 1973 Robbie was the first African American to win and set racing record for the top speed to win the Soap Box Derby in New Philadelphia, Ohio.  Robbie was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and son; personally caring for his father Howard Robinson, Sr. until his passing on April 27, 2016.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Jo Robinson; brothers-in-law, Gary Perrin, Keith D. Cheek; paternal grandmother, Frances (Nannie) Robinson; maternal grandparents, Jasper and Effie Barkley, Sr.  He leaves to behind to cherish his precious memory his loving and dedicated wife, Krystal M. Robinson; one and only daughter, Ashley Robinson, (2) sons, Michael Roberson, Roland(Melanie) Cheek of Cincinnati, Ohio; (5) grandchildren; siblings, Howard (Denise) Robinson, Jr., Kathy R. Perrin, Anita (Rasheed) Muhammad; aunts, Frances Barkley, Marion Kelley, Jean Mayle, Delores McKenzie; sister-in-law, Michelle L. Cheek; special sister, Lynette Johnson; special niece, Kimberly Robinson-Herriott; goddaughter, Raqunette Lewis; special cousin, Terri Barkley; special friends, Kelvin Miles, Byron Fite, Gerald Barnes, Orlando Crockett,  and Kevin Hawkins as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and friends.  Anyone knowing Robbie understands that he never met a stranger and had the gift of making others feel special.  Robbie was dearly loved and will truly be missed.  The family would like to thank University Hospital, Aultman Compassionate Care Center, and everyone that offered prayers and words of kindness during Robbie’s illness; your many expressions of kindness did not go unnoticed.
