Paul Robinson, age 73, of Canton, Ohio was born April 24, 1948to the late Clarence and Opal (Hammond) Robinson. He departed his life November 8, 2021.
He graduated from McKinley High School and was given the title of a “great athlete.” He participated in many sports, but excelled in the “Bulldog Tradition” with his speed and aggressiveness in the game of football. Paul played both on the offensive and defensive line, he was an all - city, all-all county first team member and was honored with a UPI honorable mention. He played in a North– South All Star game. Upon receiving a scholarship to Arizona Western College, he played football for one year. He was nominated and inducted in the McKinley Senior High Football Hall of Fame in 1992 and was an honored member of the Canton Oldtimers Athlete Association. Paul entered the service in 1971 and was a proud U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. Upon returning home he became employed with the Diebold Inc. until he relocated to Rocky River Ohio. Paul was employed at The Wade Park Cleveland VA Medical Center, in the radiology department as an EKG Technician, for more than 20 years until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by (2) brothers, William Golden and Thaddeus Robinson; (1) sister, Gayle Kelly.
His legacy will live on through his children, Lori Ballard, P.J. Robinson; grandchildren ; great grandchildren ; (2) brothers, Clarence Robinson and and Preston (Diane) Robinson; (1) sister, Joanne (Jim) Motley, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
