As we grieve in our hearts, we rejoice in spirit and faith of the eternal rest of husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, cousin of our beloved Charles “Buzz” Ollison Charles was born on January 23, 1954, in Greenville, Alabama, to Sammie Ollison and Louisa B. Ollison. He went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 17, 2024. Charles received his early education in the Bulter County, AL school system. At the age seventeen, he moved to Akron, OH and continued his education and journey into adulthood. During his time, here on earth he met the young love of his life Myra P Foreman which he married in 1993, whom he loved and cherished faithfully until his demise. Charles was an active member of New Exodus Christian Fellowship Church (NECFC). Before his health declined, he supported and participated in various role and activities in the church. He highly acknowledged his pastor Gregory E. Partridge and First Lady Toni Partridge of the NECFC. Charles work began with Krispy Krème Doughnuts, with several other jobs before Metro Regional Transit Authority, retiring in 1997. He had many accomplishments in his life. Charles (Coach Buzz) Ollison coached and played softball for 43 years. He was a 2014 Softball Hall of Famer and a 30-year USSSA Umpire. In this capacity, he was able to mentor many children. He received an accommodation from the Summit County Executive for his servicesto the community for coaching softball. Charles was a family man who loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded on his final journey by his parents Sammie and Louisa Ollison, brothers, Sammie Jr., Wilbert, Lewis, Howard, Johnny and sister Juanita, his son Jamiah, grandson Tyrone Jr (Big Poppa) and mother-in-law Josie Foreman Charles leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife Myra Ollison, sons Tyrone O'Dell, Cedric O'Dell, Bryant Ollison, Charles Ollison II, daughters Mya Foreman and Adria Ollison, grandchildren Tymesha, Ayannah Harris, Tymeon, Marion, Makhi, Alonah, Adonis, Air-yona, Carmen, Donell, Kingston, Nasir, Jamia, Janya, D’Legacy and Tayleigh; great-grandchildren Dion, D-ior, TJ, Emhonta and A’Monie Brown, sister June (Joe Neal) Adams; Special friends Ronnie Lee, Theresa Woodall, Jimmy Jones and Alan Dawkins and Ski Lawler; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
