Yonzell Jackson Sr., age 52, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on November 16, 2025. Born and raised in Akron, he was known for his bright spirit, his humor, and his ability to make any room feel lighter.
Yonzell loved watching sports, sharing a good joke, and lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He was truly the life of the party, and his presence brought joy to family, friends, and everyone who crossed his path.
Yonzell is survived by his children, Yonzell Jackson Jr. and Yonzanae Jackson; his beloved grandchild, Yosiah White; He is also survived by his fiancée, Ladonna Ellis; his mother-in-law, Bessie (Willie) Boyd; his brothers-in-law, Derrick (Renita) Dalton and Clearance (Migdailia) Dalton; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his devoted spouse, Patricia Dalton; daughter, Yonzania Jackson; his parents, Betty Joe Brown and Joseph Lee Billingsley; and his siblings, Melvin R. Brown, Joseph Billingsley, Oscar Jackson, and Gayle Lee. He also leaves behind his godfather, David Carter, who held a special place in his life.
Yonzell will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, and his generous heart. His legacy lives on in those who were blessed to know and love him.
