WILBERT OLLISON Obituary

Wilbert Ollison transitioned from this life into the presence of God on January 12, 2021.  He was born to Sammie and Plummie Ollison in Greenville Alabama on October 1, 1924.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard and Sammie L Jr. and sister, Juanita Donaldson and Johnnie Mack Roper.

His memory will forever be in the hearts of his brother, Charles Ollison, (Myra); his children, Gwendolyn Lusane, Wilma Dunn (John), Linda Taylor (Terry), Wilbert Ollison Jr. (Shawn), Darryl, Kimberly, Yvonne and Yvette Hunter, Kenny Shepherd and Antoine Holley.  Wilbert also was a father figure to Eric, Troy, Domonick and Michael Holly.   He was blessed with a long life that produced a multitude of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Wilbert’s favorite past time was to visit the fishing banks all over Ohio as often as he could.  He was a great talker and had many friends in his lifetime.

He was a trustee at True Church House of Prayer, Jerome Florence, Pastor. 
There was a time when Wilbert put (his) life in the (hands) of Father God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit.  His favorite saying was “I thank God in the morning when I wake up, I thank Him all through the day and I thank Him before I go to bed.”
