WAYNE G. BOWDEN

Wayne Bowden age 70 passed away on January 13, 2025, Wayne was born May 25,1954 he was a lifelong resident of Akron Ohio.

He attended Akron public schools, graduated from North High School in 1972. He enjoyed reading, playing football but most of all he loved teaching youth about the game.

Wayne loved his nieces Nikita, Rosalind, Damara, Amy, Katrina and Krista. nephews Micah, Brian, Terrence, Rozell, Camron, Kevin and Keith. He communicated with them in many ways be it for birthdays, holidays or just to give a word of wisdom.  

He also shared his wisdom and love with his God daughter Deidra Speight.  

Wayne was employed with H.H. Greg and Home Depot, after retirement he went to work with Meijer.

Wayne spent the last Fridays of each month volunteering at Rooted In Christ Community Church. Food Pantry helping people load cars. 

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother Agnes and father Rozell Bowden, sisters Rhonda and Rosland Bowden.

He is survived by his daughter Jerra Bowden, brothers Roy (Melissa) Bowden, Rodney (Crystal) Bowden, Bruce Bowden, Eric Bowden, a host of nieces and nephews.
