TREQUAN DORSEY “PROPHECY” Obituary

T. Prophecy Dorsey, born Tre’Quan Darrell Dorsey was born in Cleveland, Ohio at St. Luke Hospital on August 14, 1975. He passed away suddenly on September 9, 2021.

He is survived by his mother and father, Kennetta Dorsey and Stephen Phillips of Akron, Ohio; sister, Marlena Dorsey; brother, Trantrell Dorsey; children, Prophecy Dorsey, Harmony Dorsey, and Christian Dorsey; fiancé, Ashley Clayton and their two boys that they raised together with love, Ashton and Aiden Clayton and a host of other siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his biological father, Wilber Dorsey; great grandmother, Lucille Short; grandmother, Marie Phillips; grandfather, John Smiley; sister Tomashawn White; brother, Stephen Dorsey; niece, Angel M. Mack; aunt, Claudia Daniels; uncle Eric Phillips; best friend, Kenji Favors; and many more relatives.

Although he was born in Cleveland, Ohio, he lived in many states. He attended Medina High School and later received his GED. He graduated from Fortis College with his HVAC degree and attended The University of Akron where he studied psychology.

Prophecy wore many hats and was a Jack-of-all-Trades. He was a mentor, activist and an artist. He loved to rap, dance, sing, draw, and he loved to talk to people and spread love and kindness to everyone he came across. But most of all, he was a great father, who loved his family dearly. He had a big heart and was loved by everyone who had the pleasure to grace his presence. He will be truly missed. He made such an impact on the world in such a short time.

He played a big role in the Black Lives Matter Movement, encouraging officers and people alike to take a knee. Also, he put together several peaceful protests and always encouraged peace, unity and love.

Remember his motto: “One Love, One Race.”
