THELMA JO BLACKSHEAR

Thelma Jo Blackshear, age 88, of Canton, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Thursday, April 17th, following a recent illness. Born in Alliance, Ohio, on September 15, 1936, she was the youngest of six children of the late Harry Sr. and Eva (Langley) Blackshear. A proud graduate of Alliance High School, Thelma Jo later moved to Denver, Colorado, where she built a life and career she deeply valued. She worked in home health care and also held positions at Gates Rubber Company and the United States Postal Service, where she served for over 40 years. Thelma Jo was known for her wit, unforgettable demeanor, and generous spirit. She had a love for traveling, shopping, and—above all—spending time with family and friends. She deeply loved the Lord and found strength and joy in her spiritual life. Thelma Jo's life was filled with love, resilience, and grace. She will be missed profoundly by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
