Tameka Louise Rogers also known as “Meki” went to be with the Lord April 27, 2022, at the age of 41.
“Meki” was born to the late Michael Eugne Vickers Sr. and Karen Rogers on January 23, 1981 in Akron, Ohio. “Meki” graduated from North High School, went on to study at the University of Akron completing her certification as a certified Chemical Dependency Counselor and her Associate Degree in Social Work.
“Meki” leaves to carry on her legacy to her oldest son James Vargas Jr. age 23, the triplets Keia, Karen and Kathy Vargas ages 22, Jeanette Rogers age 19 and her youngest Tamiah Bell age 15, her one and only grandson Chozyn Rogers age 2.
She also leaves to cherish her memory siblings Latesha Shropshire, Miquel Rogers, Michael Vickers Jr., Ashley Vickers, Angela Gregory, Aaron Gregory, brother in law Anthony Shropshire and a host of other relatives and friends.
Tameka was a very dedicated, hard working woman, a devoted mother a comedic down to earth person who would dominate every room she walked in. If you knew “Meki” you know she was a boss, an independent woman, and a self-motivator. Tameka had a passion for helping people and inspiring others.
Preceded in death by grandparent William and Harriett Rogers, Ellie and Louise Vickers, father Michael Vickers Sr., son Brian Wilson, cousins Diamond Vickers and Florence, Uncle Larry Joe Vickers, Aunt Vanessa Williams and Doris Smith
