SHAWNTEY PATRECE SNELL

Shawntey Patrece Snell passed away unexpectantly on January 14, 2021 at the age of 36.   Shawntey was born on June 27th, 1984 in Canton, OH. Shawntey graduated from McKinley Senior High School and went on to pursue her love for doing hair and obtained a certification in Cosmetology. In addition to doing hair, Shawntey also worked in the direct care field, helping assist families in caring for their loved ones with developmental disabilities. Recently, Shawntey accomplished her lifelong dream of becoming a homeowner. Shawntey was a strong and devoted mother,   sister, daughter, and aunt. She was everyone’s “go-to” person, often setting her own business aside to help someone in need. Her children were her pride and joy.  Shawntey made friends everywhere that she went. Amongst her many strengths, Shawntey was admired most for her ability to make people laugh and bring joy to their spirits, even at their lowest moments in life. Shawntey leaves behind beautiful memories, and an even more beautiful legacy with her children and every other life that she touched. She will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her.

Shawntey is preceded in death by mom Denise Hubbard- Snell; grandparents Lillie Pearl Anthony, Narciss Hubbard- Parker, and Walter Coleman; brother, Curtis Snell; special great aunt, Dorothy Jean Hubbard; maternal uncle, Jermaine Ward, and a host of other relatives.

Shawntey was survived by her dad Michael (Deborah) Snell; mother, Treva Eilam; father, Shawn Coleman; children, Aniah Corner, Jada Evans, and Nasjier Corner; grandparents, Benny Anthony and Bobbie Whitfield; siblings, Alan (Kristen) Wray, LaToya Snell, Terrence Snell, Yolanda Snell, Alyssa Snell- (Delano Sr.) Means, Yolanda Torrence, Michael (Scottie) Snell Jr. Dijon Eilam, D’Lavell Eilam, Kristoferr Eilam, Mario Jackson, Pirree Harris, Taylor Coleman, Diondre Coleman, Shawn Coleman, Melanda Davis, Bobbie Strickland, Ebony Wherry, Lakeesha Wise, Merrie Parker, Kiara Leos, Tiuna Leos, Marquela Leos, Earl (Schade) Crable, Timothy (April) Crable, Lerry (Mary) Crable; special cousins, Lolita and Aja Bryant, Chaz Cheek, Briana Grimes, Jazmone Hughes, and Briana Gray. Shawntey was also survived by close friends Kamaria Watson, Shila Ross, and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones. The family of Shawntey would also like to show appreciation to Jeanette (Grady) Stewart who became a mother figure to Shawntey and continues to play a special role in raising all three of her children.
