SAMUEL L. SMITH

Samuel Lewis Smith " Sam " 75 of Akron,  Ohio transitioned unexpectedly on Saturday May 17, 2025.

Sam was born March 2, 1950 to Hattie Mae Rogers and Mack McCurry

He lived all of His life in Akron, Ohio attending Akron Public Schools and graduating from John R. Buchtel High School in the class of 1969.

Two months later He married the love of His life Estelle " Marie " Lawrence. To that union Patreashe Michelle Smith was born.

He served in the US Army for three years. Serving in Germany and Vietnam. He was an over the road truck driver for thirty two years, a handy man and a great cook. He loved spending time with Family and Friends. Helping out when ever needed and would cuss you out if you got on His nerves. 

Sam was proceeded in death by His Grandparents Rev. Lawrence and Louisa Rogers. Parents. Brother J.C. Smith. Sisters Lena Johnson and Mary Louise Robinson. Grandson DeAndre Pete and Six Great Grandson's. A host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. 

He leaves to cherish His memory daughters Patreashe " Trish " , George Smith of Murfreesboro, Tn. Faniethia " Ninnie "  Beach of Dayton, Ohio  Son Marcus " Bam " Michelle Beach Sr. of Akron, Ohio Brother Emerson  ' Junebug " Harper of Cleveland, Ohio twenty two Grandchildren, Fourteen Great Grandchildren. Special Friends and Family: Estelle  " Marie " Brown, Linda Feaster, Bobby Hatcher, Cindy Toney, Dawn Rogers, Toka Johnson, Delonda Feaster, Tonya Black, Rochelle and Oscar Lawrence.
