Mr. Rodney George Proctor entered into eternal rest on June 24, 2021. Rodney who was affectionately known as “Rod” by all who knew and loved him, was born on October 28, 1963 in Akron, Ohio. The son of George “Ronnie” Mosley and Wanda Jean Proctor. Rodney graduated from North High School in Akron, Ohio.
Rodney was united in Holy Matrimony to Barbara Bibby, who preceded him death on June 24, 2009.
Rodney was employed by Goodwill Industries for a number of years. He was also employed by Eddy’s Bike Shop and MRDD Workshop for a number of years.
Rodney was united with the Community Fellowship Chapel of Akron, Ohio, where he was a faithful and dedicated member, where he attended regularly up until Covid, under the pastorate of Apostle Earl Thomas (deceased) and Pastor Caroline Williams. Rodney was a member of the Music Ministry. He also occasionally played bass guitar for them.
Rodney truly loved his family and church most of all, but he also had a love of football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, Michael Jackson, riding his bike, fixing bikes for the neighborhood kids, and fixing radios. He definitely loved his music (the oldies but goodies). Last but not least, he absolutely loved helping anyone in need, whenever he could, and he was always willing to share his love of Christ with whomever he came into contact with.
Rodney was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Bibby Proctor; his father, George “Ronnie” Mosley; paternal grandparents, George and Gertrude Proctor, and his very special aunt, Mary C. Murray.
He leaves to cherish his memory to his mother, Wanda J. Proctor; brothers, Christopher Proctor of Akron, Ohio, Ronald Mosley of Haymarket, Virginia, Stephen Mosley of Akron, Ohio, and Corey Haynes of Akron, Ohio, and his sister Crystal Church of Akron, Ohio; special cousins, Yolanda Jackson of Ravenna, Ohio and Paul Proctor of Youngstown, Ohio; special nieces, Akeah Thompson and Christiana Proctor both of Akron, Ohio; special nephew, Christopher “Lil Chris” Proctor Jr. of Akron, Ohio, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
