ROBERTA OSBORNE "BUNCH"

Roberta Osborne, affectionately known as "Bunch," passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024. She was born on September 1, 1936, in Laverne, Alabama, to Fred and Posha Lowry. Roberta was one of 11 children and the beloved seventh child of
the family. In 1955, Roberta graduated from Crenshaw County Training School in Alabama and ventured to Ohio with her sister and brother-in-law, seeking new opportunities. Just two years later, in 1957, she married James Osborne. Roberta welcomed her only child, daughter Darnetta. Roberta dedicated her life to family and hard work,
leaving a legacy of love and resilience. Throughout her career, Roberta made a lasting impact in her community. She worked at Echo Products, Hoover Company, McKinley Healthcare, CTCC (where she proudly served in the kitchen), and also as a bus monitor for the MRDD. She also babysat for many families, becoming a cherished caregiver to children across her
community. Roberta's love for her family was unparalleled, and her time with them was one of her greatest joys. Known for her famous potato salad and sweet potato pie, she brought warmth and flavor to family gatherings. Her hobbies reflected her personality: she adored plants, enjoyed reading, cherished family time, and embraced the freedom to live life on her own terms. She was a generous grandmother, often treating her grandchildren to whatever they desired -even when their mom said otherwise! Roberta was also a loyal friend and a true neighbor
to all, touching countless lives with her kindness. She is survived by her daughter, Darnetta; her sister, Thelma Soloman; five cherished grandchildren: Tanisha (Jerome) Newman, Cedric Hearn, Tanea Osborne, Eric Osborne, and Trai (Caneia) Hearn, and 11 great-grandchildren. Roberta also leaves behind her god-children: Kevin Camper and Charlotte Jamison, special
daughters: Rickie, Lori, and Michelle, and special friends: Carolyn H. and Peggy. Roberta is preceded in death by her parents, and nine of her siblings: Harvey, JD, Luella, Jewel Mae, Verdi, Lucille, Cumi, lola, and Bill; her twin great-grandsons,
Jamar and Jamir, and her great-great grandchildren, the McKenzie triplets.
Her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
