Through God’s love and grace Rickie Lamar Brooks was born on November 4, 1990, to a doting mother, Tanisha Brooks, and to his late father Rickie Moss. Rickie attended Akron Public Schools.
Rickie’s birth was a joy to both families as his life provided us a blessing from God. He is Tanisha’s first-born child and the first grandchild of the Moss family. His birth provided us healing, comfort and hope. Throughout childhood, Rickie had a fascination with Superheroes, only to become our real-life Superhero. His love for his family was unwavering. The love he had for his mother is unparalleled and will endure beyond his passing.
His greatest love was his children, it was his gift to humanity. The love and comfort he provided his children is a representation of his character. He was a father that attended every football game and cheerleading practice encouraging Little Rickie and GiGi to give it their best while having fun. Gio, the baby boy, was always on his father’s hip observing his every move.
Rickie is preceded in death by his father Rickie Lamar Moss, grandparents Glynis Brooks, Irma Jean Foster and Gary Kirkland, sister Drewshamear “Oodles” Foster, and special cousin Glenn “Ducy” Sheffield Sr.
