RACHELLE JANINE BARCLAY

Rachelle Janine Barclay received her heavenly wings unexpectedly yet peacefully on February 20, 2026, in Akron, Ohio, at the age of 54.
Rachelle was born on August 10, 1971, to Bernice Cobb-Benson and Anthony Benson. She was her mother's only daughter.
Rachelle attended Buchtel High School and proudly earned her GED in 2018. She was currently employed with the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. Over the years, she held several positions, including Head Hunters, case manager and accountant. She also obtained her CDL.

Rachelle had a personality that touched and uplifted the lives of everyone she met. Creating was her passion-whether it was cooking. interior designing, being a confidant, visiting casinos, caring for others, or joyfully planning gatherings. Her home was always open, especially for her cherished grandchildren. Above all, Rachelle made sure everyone around her felt loved, appreciated, and valued. Her warmth, generosity, and beautiful spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Rachelle is preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Marie Cobb; brother, Timothy Sullivan; grandparents, Daniel and Wilma Cobb; aunts, Cynthia Cobb and Betty Cobb; Raheem Martin (Father of Amber); grandmother's -in-law, Ella Andrus and Thelma Barclay; mother-in-law, Sonja Neal; father-in-law, Jethro Neal Jr.; brother-in-law, Nolan Shropshire; sister-in-law, Sheridan Shropshire; niece, Terri Russel. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Shawn Barclay; father, Anthony Benson; father in-law, Curtis(Denise) Barclay; daughters, Natasha Barclay and Amberr Martin; beloved grandchildren, Zechariah, Za'Niyah, Za'Kyi, Za'Kobi, Ze'Drick, and Aden; nephews, Jeremiah and Sam Sullivan; brother Larry (Patrina) Sullivan; aunts, Mary (Scott) Chatman, Ester Matshal; and godson, Lynte' Henderson; in-laws,  Lonza (Marietta), Ella, Greg (Caroline), Terry (Stefania), Vernia, Rick (Kathy), Jeffrey (Jazmar) Neal, Delana Robinson, Torrey (Tierra) Smith, Angel, DeAndre, and Curtis Barclay.  Rachelle also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
