QUITNEY J. DIX II
Obituary
Tuesday September 5, 2023, Quitney Jerome Dix II, known affectionally to family as "Jerry" passed away from natural causes. Quitney was a veteran of the US Army with an honorable discharge in 1968. In the early 80's Akron's own, "DJ Q" would cut up on the 1s and 2s, he could also play a mean tambourine and wasn't a bad dancer either.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Annie Butler, Brother, Gerald Butler and son Quitney J. Dix III.
Quitney is survived by his children LaShawn Chandler (Buffalo, NY), Chagrene (Lavall) Duncan, Quen (Mother Monya) Dix, Quinara (Mother Sheila) Dix; Grandchildren; Dequante (Tae), Devan, Quitney IV (Nunu), LaVay (Vay Vay); Greatgrandchildren; Alaya & Neli and Host of other family & friends.
