On Thursday February 4th 1993, the world was blessed with a  gift in person of Preston Lawrence Devante’ Wade.

Preston was born in Cleveland, Ohio and was raised by his loving mother Bernadine Wade and Larry Wade Sr. in Canton, Ohio.  Preston was the 7th of 9 children however from birth ,  Preston would turn beet red when he would become upset earning with the Nickname “RED”.

   Red was an affectionate, charismatic, family oriented, young man who attended Jackson High School in Jackson Township, Ohio. Red played   football and was a track star in his own right. During his tenure breaking three state records in track, which have yet to be broken. Red was a drummer for a number of years for  his home church  H. Templeton  ministries C.O.G.I.C  under the leadership of the late Pastor Herman and Lady Carolyn Templeton Jr.

 In 2012 Red met the love of his life Nicole who has stood by him through thick and thin. The two became inseparable and were engaged on Christmas day 2018.

Red loved to eat , especially his mother’s  mac & cheese and Nicole’s lasagna.  He was known to be a very determined young man, and when he wanted to do something you could consider it done. Which is why, he drove a car from Ohio to New York without handicap controls. But RED, drove with his DIY (do it yourself) hand control...a baseball bat !

Red was   preceded in death by his (Aunt) Juanita Minor (uncle) Charles (Wanda) Minor ,  Raymond Booker, and his  Pastor Herman and First Lady Carolyn Templeton, Niece Zarriah Wade. He leaves to chrerish his memory his     fiancé Nicole McInnes and his Baby Girl  Kam, mother Bernadine Wade and father Claude Johnson. Siblings: Devonna & Joseph Johnson Mapleton, GA, Movietta & Charles Cobbs, Larry Preston Wade Jr,  Dikeisha Wade Charles (Vanessa) Wade Pasadena Calf., Jordan  Michael Wade, Shapraise Wade, Isaiah Wade. Sisters: Chavella,  Carla, Carol,    Charmaine,  Christina Johnson, Chaunta Crawford. Brothers: Carolos, and Claude Johnson.  Nieces and Nephews: Judah (Kayla) Johnson, Jadah Johnson (Mapleton, G.A.),Aja, Ajani, Aden, Appolo, Majesty, Christian, King B. Wade, Nevaeh Mitchell, Great nephew   Jonah.  God parents Angela Jones, and Robert Evans God brothers and sisters: Corrine Sanders, Dartagnan, Juwan Tobias Evans, Foster, Rayvon, Shauntaea, Tevya Jones, Johnathan Douglas, Aleigha Brown.
