Patricia (nee. Carter) Penn, transitioned from this life into Glory on Friday, June 12, 2020 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born June 28, 1948 in Troy, Alabama to the union of the late Henry and Ada Mae (nee. Ruffin) Carter.
Patricia was also affectionately called, Pat, Trish, and Tricia by her family and friends. She was educated in the Canton City School System and graduated from McKinley High School where she was in Future Secretaries of America Club, and the schools Debate Team. She loved books of all types and enjoyed reading them.
Like most young people, she led a very busy social life. She was a member of a drill team that was headed by the Elks Club of Canton. They were sought after all over the state of Ohio to march in their parades and compete afterward on the Drill Battle Fields. They were always walking away or should I say marching away with the top prizes. She was also in a girl singing group that was very popular in the local areas. They entertained in talent shows, teen dances, and at area schools.
She was employed at Diebold, Inc., Restore Historical Society, and was presently employed at Empowering People of Stark County.
Tricia gave her life to Christ at an early age and she pursued her quest for Jesus when she was ordained and licensed into the ministry and office of a prophet. Her church and ministry affiliates: Antioch, Deeper Life, Little Rock COGIC, United Bible Way Missionary Church, New Blood Covenant, and Breath of Life.
She really loved her grandchildren and her family with a love that ran deep throughout the ranks, from the oldest to the youngest. "She Love Family".You can see the evidence of her thoughtful, loving and caring ways demonstrated to her husband, children, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her great big extended family.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers: Danny Carter, Michael (Flea) Carter, Travis (Poppa) Carter; brother-in-law, Joseph Corner; sisters-in-law, Marsha Carter, Deneen Carter.
