PATRICIA L. COPPINGER-GARDNER

Patricia Louis Coppinger-Gardner was born in Akron, Ohio on March 23, 1952. She went Home to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep on January 9, 2025. 

Patricia was an ordained minister for over 30 years, and she also worked as a nursing assistant. Patricia served as a Black Panther in her community during her early years. Her favorite color was drop dead red and her nickname was "Fancy Yancey." She loved to cook, debate, design, play pool and chess. Patricia was a loving and caring woman and a mother who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Mamie Coppinger; and brother, James Coppinger. 

She leaves behind her only son, Tavvean Coppinger; grandchildren, Jalen and Ja'ni Coppinger; sisters, Darlene Whatley, Leberta Coppinger and Earlene Carter; brother-in-law, Douglas Whatley; nephews, Jason, Darshon and Landis Coppinger; nieces, Jennifer Coppinger and Venus Suskie Papvy; special friends, Junnie Johnson, Carmen Lynn Nelson, Montiere, David Brown and Sharon McCullough; and a host of other relatives and friends.
