Orlando Lee Crockett, 58, suddenly went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 12, 2021.
He was born in Canton, Ohio on July 27, 1962, to the union of the late Sammie G. Crockett and Priscilla “Tiny” Williams Crockett.
Orlando attended and graduated from Canton South High School where he played high school football. After high school he attended Stark Tech.
He was joined in holy matrimony on June 16, 1984, to the love of his life Pauline Denise Lenzy-Crockett. No children were born to this union, but Orlando was a father to many.
Orlando was a hard worker during his life working as a manager at Rent-Way and then later worked for Kenworth Truck Company before his health begin to fail him.
Orlando was an active member of Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Ohio Free & Accepted Masons. He served as a Past Master of Ionic Lodge #6, a member of Lansing Chapter #11, L.D. Easton Consistory #21, and St. Elizabeth Chapter #6 Order of the Eastern Star. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church, Chillicothe, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. J. Troy Gray, where he served on the Van Ministry.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Johnnie B. and Magnolia Crockett, Reuben I and Clara Bell; sister, Gail Crockett Snel; great uncle, Dempsey Bell; uncles, Reuben “Chum” Bell II, Kenneth (Janet) Bell Sr.; aunts, Annette Jones, Agnes Bell, Mary (Wilson) Deese; brothers-in-law, Robert Lenzy, Eddie Lee Lenzy, James Lenzy; cousins, Tonya Bell, Kenneth Bell, Jr., Victor Mackey, Jr.; father-in-law, Hezekiah Lenzy.
Orlando loved his family and had a large extended family: He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pauline Crockett; his stepmother, Rosetta Bell Crockett; brothers, Sammie Jr. “Chico” (Marta) Crockett, Warren Keith (Ronnilyn) Bell; sister, Patricia (Fred) Smith; sister/cousin, Toni Andrews; uncles, John Crockett, Donald Crockett, Ernest “Jake” Williams, John (Lanette) Mack; aunts, Florence Crockett Jones, Patricia Crockett Harrell, Nancy Card, Jenise Williams, Venessa (Stephen) Jordan, Thea (Charles) Holling; great aunts, Hattie Tremell, Georgia King; mother-in-law, Annie Ruth Lenzy; brothers-in-law, Melvin (Wanda) Lenzy, John (Robin) Lenzy, Charles (Felichia) Lenzy; sisters-in-law, Maxine (Perry) Morgan, Elizabeth Lenzy, Joann Lenzy, Rose Lenzy, Paulette Renée Lenzy. Also surviving: his god-children, India Bell, Kalita Bell, Warren “Buddy” Bell, Jr., Jeremiah “Tezzy” Green, Marcus Lenzy, Ashleigh Shackleford, Nicholas Mankin, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loving pet Sasha; special friends: his Masonic Brothers, Eastern Star Sisters, and Pat Harrell Glynn; special childhood friends, Armand Fontes, Addis Desmond, Nate Chester, Kevin Miles, Kelvin M. Miles Sr., Chico Dillard, and the late Robbie Robinson.
