August 12, 1955 ~ March 15, 2025 (age 69) 69 Years Old

NORM JACKSON Obituary

Norm Stanley Jackson, was born August 12, 1955 to Golina Clyde Jackson
and the late Irwin Paul Jackson. He is the third child of five siblings, Father of
3 children, Grandfather of 6 and Great Grandfather of 1. Norm, Stanley as his
family and friends referred to him, was raised up at Hills Temple and gave his
life to Christ at a young age, he battled a lung disease since he was a boy but
he never let it keep him living a full life, he played football, ran track, and was
active like any other child. He graduated from North High School, class of
1973. Stanley went on to work for Firestone Tire and Rubber, National City
Bank. His love of music led him to become a DJ. He started at the Library
Lounge in the early 90s and later went on to start his own DJ business called
North Star Entertainment where he played at parties and weddings. Norm
earned his Associates Degree in Computer Technology and Electronics and
had a long career fixing computers and office equipment first with American
Business Machines, and moved to Virginia with his family and worked for
IKON Office Solutions later known as RICOH and moved on to Virginia
Business Solutions. After 20+ years in the business, he retired in 2023. His
hobbies included Refereeing high school basketball games, Bowling and he
Loved to go watch a live band perform with his friends. His battle with his lung
disease ended on Saturday, March 15, 2025 in Richmond, VA when God
called him home. His journey ended painlessly, surrounded and supported by
loved ones and his children.
Stanley was preceded in death by his father, Irwin Jackson. He is survived by
his mother Golina Clyde Jackson, Siblings, John Jackson, Lisa Duncan,
Nancy (Waymon) Garrett, and Sandra Jackson; His children, Bianca (Quint)
Cooke from Alabama, Megen Jackson, Austin (Najat) Jackson from Virginia;
his grandchildren Jayden Sturkie, Isaiah Jackson, Zayveon Sturkie, Aleah
Cooke, Emmanuel Jackson and Elijah Jackson, great grandson, Ka’Mari

Sturkie, significant other, Melinda Costley, and a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, and longtime friends.
