MICHAEL D. BECKETT

Michael Davis Beckett, Sr. was born on June 6, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky and passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 71 years young. He was born to the late Marion Beckett, Sr. and Ruby Hollis Beckett. He graduated from Buchtel High School and worked for SD Meyers and Summa Health Systems.

Michael enjoyed spending time with his family. He absolutely adored his grandchildren. He liked listening to jazz music, Earth Wind and Fire, and Maze. He was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers, Frank Hollis, Charles, Dennis, Aaron, Bernard and Marion, Jr.; sisters, Betty and Alice Beckett; and niece, Terry Beckett Mack.

He leaves to forever cherish his loving memories, his sons, Micheal (Lacindra) D. Beckett, Jr. and Marquelle (Janai) B. Beckett; mother of his children, Joyce Beckett; grandchildren, Envyonna Thomas, Michael D. lll, Marquelle and Marlee Beckett; sisters, Annie Shelley, Barbara, Phyllis, and Brenda Beckett and Jewell Crawford; sisters-in-law, Jane, Jackie and Ladonna Beckett; best friend, Kenny Freeman; niece and caretaker, Karmen Beckett; and a host of other relatives and friends.
