MAURICE ALONZO DONAHOO

Maurice Alonzo Donahoo, beloved husband, father, grandfather, relative and friend, affectionately known as Reese, peacefully transitioned from this life on August 15, 2025. Maurice was born on March 30, 1955, in Detroit Michigan to the late Lewis Samuel Donahoo Jr. and Asalee (Miller) Donahoo. Maurice was baptized at an early age at Brown Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. He graduated from Cleveland Glenville High School and went on to obtain an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Akron. Maurice was employed for over 25 years at Indian River Correctional Facility in Massillon, Ohio where he served as an administrator before his retirement. On April 19, 1980, Maurice was united in holy matrimony to Olivia Grace (Allison) Donahoo, the love of his life. Maurice was a devoted and ever- loving husband to Olivia for 45 wonderful years. To this union their only child, Maurice Antwon Donahoo was born. Maurice enjoyed traveling to various locations throughout the country and the world, but his fondest joy was traveling to visit his many loving relatives and friends. Maurice deeply cherished his time and fellowship with family, and he will be dearly missed by all. Maurice was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Asalee Donahoo and older brother Charles “Pee Wee” Donahoo. Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Olivia, his loving son Maurice Donahoo, and his most precious granddaughter A’Liviea Karshay Donahoo, along with a host of beloved family and friends.
