MATTIE BELL ABLES JOHNSON

Mattie Bell Ables Johnson was born September 5, 1926, to late Annabell Ables Brown and Arlander Ables.

Mattie worked at the V.A. Hospital, Ted Wood Cleaners, Koozs Cleaners and retired from Bridge Park Nursing Facility after 32 years of dedicated service. She was a lifetime member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, where she was the oldest member. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, (2) sisters, Beatrice Ables and Charlotte Turner, (3) brothers, Levi Smith, Alex Ables, and William Ables; (1) son, William Alexander Wade, and (6) grandchildren. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Robert (Elise) Wade, David Wade; daughters, Beatrice Wade, Charlotte Frye, Theora Owens, and Henrietta Haywood; (4) grandchildren she raised, LaShawn Wade, Kardeen Wade, Mattie Tucker, and Angelica Wade-Brunner, as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; special cousin, Marva Banks; special caregivers, Kenetra Lee, Dwaan Jefferson, LaShawn Wade, and Mattie Tucker, extended family Ables, Wade, and Smith families.
