Marylou Beverly Tanner departed this life on January 12, 2022. She was born to the late Ruth Tanner in Oneida, New York on April 7, 1931. Marylou came to Canton in 1951, where she retired from Danner Press after 30 years.
Marylou loved to knit, crochet, do crossword puzzles and had a passion for reading. She loved to play cards and was undefeated in spades. One thing that can definitely be said, is spending time with family was very important to her.
She was preceded in death by our Father/Grandaddy, Opral Williams; four Brothers; Daughter, Sandra Lee Clayton; Granddaughter, Danielle Clopton; and Great-Grandson, Trevin Clayton.
She leaves very precious memories to her Daughter, Sharon “Babysister” Smith; Granddaughters, Treva Sweat, Gaylyn Butler, Sharona Sweat, Tammy (Joe) Martin, Sharon (Maurice) Payne, and Tiana (James) Walker; and Grandson, Karlus Clayton. She also leaves twenty great-grandchildren; twenty-five great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
