MARY P. STALLINGS

It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow to announce that Mary P. Stalling peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

Mary, affectionately known as May Pearl, was a resident of Akron, Ohio.  She was the daughter of the late Lessie B. and Booker T. Stallings. She is the youngest of 10 siblings and a twin.  Mary was a loyal child, caring sister, gentle aunt, patient partner, loving mother, devoted grandmother, and overall, an amazing kind person. 

She attended East High School however, she continued her journey at Job Corp.  Mary graduated from Southern Ohio College.  She retired from the Sheraton Hotel after 20 years of dedicated service.

Mary enjoyed playing solitaire, puzzles, sudoku, political debates, watching the news and crime shows.  She loved old school music, dancing, black history, and telling stories about her life.  

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Annie Stallings, her twin, Annette Stallings, Joyce Carter, Betty Jean (Forrest) Davis, Barbara Ann (Eddie) Skipper; brothers, James R. West, Rufus West, and John West. 

Mary leaves to cherish her loving memory her sister, Patricia (Willie) Smith; (2) children, LaMarr Stallings, Katrina Stallings; (3) grandchildren, LaRae Stallings, Jasmire Stallings, Nydia Stallings, and (4) great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
