MARK ELLIOTT JONES

Mark Elliot Jones, 52, transitioned from this earth on Friday, October 24, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. Mark was born on May 12, 1973, in Akron, Ohio. 

Mark spent his childhood years as an active member of Macedonia and First Baptist Church of Akron. Mark graduated from Akron Buchtel in 1991. Mark played football, ran some track, loved playing chess and driving his large remote cars, trucks, tanks, and planes. 

Mark was most recently employed with Akron Steel Treating Company, Keymark Vending LLC based in Atlanta, Georgia. Mark's friendly disposition allowed him many opportunities to engage groups in conversation about drug use. 

Mark is preceded in death by his father, John Jay Jones III; grandparents, Alfreda A. Meadows, Theresa Jones, Robert L. Meadows, and John J. Jones II. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted mother, Ms. Alicia L. Meadows; his beloved daughter, Keyonna Otoo; brothers, Michael E., and J. Michael; beloved partner, Ms. Melinda Moore; sisters, Bridget, Trina, Tiffany, and Shawntae Dawley; stepmother, Trina Jones; favorite aunt, Teresa A. Palmer; uncle, Robert L. Meadows; nephew, Michael "Mikey" Jones, as well as a host of beloved relatives and family friends.
