Marcus Lyn Taylor, age 52, was born on August 20, 1973, and peacefully passed away on September 28, 2025. Affectionately known as "King Marcus" or "MT", he attended Central-Hower High School in Akron, Ohio. Marcus was a kind and loving man with a big heart and an unforgettable personality. He loved to dance, spread laughter, and brighten any room he entered. His favorite color was yellow, but everyone knew he had a deep love for that Eastside red.
A hardworking man, Marcus dedicated his life to his family and his work. Throughout the years, he was employed at Advance Poly Packing, Waste Management, and the Akron Beacon Journal.
Marcus was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Skinner; grandfather, Wesley Taylor; grandmother, Dorthy Taylor of Akron, Ohio and Ernest and Louise Skinner Jackson of Marshallville, Georgia.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted mother, Janet Skinner; his loving wife, Dishauna Brewer; (7) children, Jetaviea Walker, Marcus Taylor, Darshon Nash, Alexus Taylor, Madison Taylor, Marshauna Taylor, and Trevond Walker. Marcus was a proud grandfather to (7) grandchildren whom he adored deeply: A'vayha Walker, Amir Taylor, Autumn Walker, Aiden Taylor, Alija Anderson, Dakota Nash, and Darshon Nash Jr. He is also survived by his siblings; Tory Taylor, Johnny Taylor, and Shawntae Skinner; best friend, and brother in spirit, Fred Lundy, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless friends who loved him dearly.
Marcus will forever be remembered for his loyalty, laughter, and love. As he would always say... "WE THE GREATEST"
