Lucille Parker, age 100, went home to be with the Lord after a lengthy stay at Meadow Wind Health Care, Tuesday, April 19, 2022. She was born February 12, 1922 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late William B. Evans and Fannie (McCall) Evans.
She graduated from Washington High School in Massillon in 1940, graduating from Timken mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1963. She continued her education in nursing until she became a registered surgical nurse, working at various hospitals. An active member of Shiloh Baptist Church, she was an usher, sang in the choir, and was a missionary.
In addition to her parents, Lucille is preceded in death by her husband Robert Parker; daughter, Shirley Ann Parker; (2) sisters, Willa Lou Evans and Juanita Viola Dixon; (2) brothers, Joseph Owen Evans, and Leon Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory to her sister-in-law, Thelma Johnson; brother, Bradley Johnson; dear friend and caretaker, Deborah Henderson, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
