LORNA M. NURSE

Lorna Mae (Pruiett) Nurse was born to the late Cora E. Jeney Dunkley and Herman Green, on September 22, 1942, in Akron, Ohio. She entered God’s loving arms on February 25, 2025, surrounded by the warmth of a beautiful, sunny day with her son Tracy close by her side.

Lorna was employed, for 4 years at Diamond Grill; Holiday Inn and Clarion Inn for 50 years until she retired. Lorna was known for her excellent cooking.  Lorna loved all sports, and she was good at trivia, especially Jeopardy. She truly enjoyed being with family and friends, sharing in the laughter that filled the room.

Lorna was preceded in death by her mother Cora E. Jeney Dunkley, Father Herman Green, Husband; Raymond E. Nurse, son; Darrell Lyn Pruiett, daughter; Darla Jeney Pruiett-Jackson, grandson Jaquare Jackson

Lorna leaves to cherish her memories, Children; Tracy (Diana) Pruiett, Christina Shanice Chavis-Nurse.  Sister Sharon Kay Dunkley, Brother John W. Dunkley, Grandchildren; Marlina Wright, Corinna Trammell, Matthew Lamanna, Tiona Pruiett, Micheal (Murom) Pruiett, Javonte (Ebony) Jackson, 20 Great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
