LORENE JOHNSON

Lorene Scott Johnson, 81, of Akron, Ohio passed away on August 24, 2025. 

Lorene was born on October 16, 1943, in Union Spring Alabama. She was the child of Eva Brunson and Tommie Allison. She graduated from Akron South High School. Lorene worked at Akron City Hospital, Brecksville Hospital, and Metro Regional Transit Authority, where she retired from. She was an active member of Kingdom Bible Missionary Baptist Church. 

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, Eva Brunson and Tommie Allison; grandmother, Jennie Purefoy; brothers, Oscar Brunson and Tommie Allison Jr. 

She is survived by sons, Kevin and Keith Johnson; daughter, Meredith (Jimmy) Snell; siblings, Willie (Carlene) Scott, Shirley Rhoden, Johnnie M. Wise, Henry Brunson, Jeanette Brunson, Ronald Allison, Donald Allison, and Michael Allison; grandchildren, Kevin, Keith, Maurice, Krystal, Nia, Karmen, and Joseph; great grandchildren, Caiden, Karson, Kevin,  and Nasir, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
