Lewis Milton Johnson, Jr., was born in Akron, Ohio on October 12, 1941, to Lewis Milton Johnson, Sr. and Evelyn Sain. Lewis graduated from Garfield High School and shortly after that he joined the United States Army where he received a general discharge. Lewis was also a Golden Glove Champion. He retired from Chrysler and was a member of Livingstone Church, where he accepted Christ as his Father and read the Bible often.
Lewis was a lover of Church's Chicken with no sides, an orange Sunkist and a day of Bonanza suited him just fine. Or just to sit on the porch and watch what was going on in the neighborhood. Lewis was a strong man and a great provider for his family. There was so much fight in him, he had will and always figured out a way.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents; brothers, Carlton and Lawrence (Cadillac) Johnson; and sons, Luke Johnson, Dewey Jones and Michael Ford.
He leaves behind his children, Miguel (Nicole) Reye's, Joyce Maggard, Laura (Ransome) Barnes, William (India) Johnson, Damon (Gwen) Griggs, Carla Easson, Nekita Jones and DeCarlos Sanders; and abundance of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. he will truly be missed by all. His presence was impactful. A man of no regrets, he made his peace with God in the end.
