Leslie Renea Flunoy, affectionately known as "Whitney",57, was wrapped in the loving arms of Jesus Christ and carried to His loving home on Thursday, June 12, 2025. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord".
Leslie was born in Barberton, Ohio on October 22,1967 to Lorraine Flunoy-Palmer and the late James (Sonny) Williams.
Leslie worked in the auto industry for Great Lakes Honda, Fred Martin, Dave Walters and as a secondary job Joann Fabrics as a Title Clerk and administrative duties. Leslie was a highly intelligent woman, she could speak multiple languages (Spanish and French), and problem solve any matters dealing with the auto industry from inventory to sales. In Leslie’s spare time she was a digital creator on Facebook, giving people something to consider and support. She also loved to sing karaoke and would travel around to different venues forging long lasting relationships and earned the nickname of “Whitney” by other patrons. Leslie’s bubbly personality and bright smile could make anyone feel at ease, she was a true treasure.
She was preceded in death by fathers, James (Sonny) Williams and Robert Palmer; grandparents, Lydia Mae Flunoy and Clarence Grant Flunoy; uncles, Bruce Flunoy, Willie Grayson Flunoy, Gerald Flunoy and aunt, Evelyn Jones.
Lelsie leaves behind to cherish her memory, mother, Lorraine Flunoy-Palmer; aunts, Diane J. Wharton (OH), Barbara Price (OH), Celina Flunoy (OH), Dorthea Williams (AZ), Darlene Flunoy (OH), and Carol Flunoy (OH); uncles, Gary Flunoy (AZ) and Arther Starns (OH); Leslie had no strangers in life, they were extensions of her family.
