LAWRENCE R. THOMAS "RANDY"

Lawrence Randolph Thomas was born June 14, 1966, in Marrietta, Ohio but was raised in Akron, Ohio went home to be with The Lord on November 6, 2022.  "Randy" as he was affectionately known graduated from Hoban High School where he played football (#20) and went on to attend college in Atchison, KS graduating in 1986 with a degree in Social Work and Business.  

Randy loved football and fishing and dotted on his sons with his favorite phrase to them was: "To be The Man, you gotta beat The Man " and Randy was The Man who was loved by so many that will cherish his memories.  

Randy was preceded in death by his son, Raupeal S. Thomas, parents, Robert Thomas and Roseanna Forte', brother, Timothy Hanson and nephew, Donte Fischer.  He leaves his daughter, Shantal Wilkerson, sons, Ryan Prat and Rae'Shun Thomas, father, Lawrence Jones of Florida, sisters, Dendalee (Paul) Baxter of Lakeland, Florida, America Lynn Jones of Parkersburg, West Virginia, April, Alisa and Adrienne Thomas and Genger Hanson, of Akron, Ohio, brothers, Brian, Christopher and Robert Thomas of Akron, Ohio, 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, special son, Nick Huweart of Mrytle Beach, South Carolina, special cousin, Fabian Riley, special friends, George Walters, Sherry Wilkerson, Steven Knight, Marvin Lewis and Kenny Apollonio and a host of other family members and friends.   Cremation has already taken place and a Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at Lawton Street Community Center Saturday November 19, 2022 from 11:00am - 3:00pm.  Condolences may be set to: Sherry Wilkerson 763 Peerless Ave. Akron, Ohio 44320
