Larhonda Elizabeth Curry, was called home to be with her heavenly father on March 21, 2024.
Larhonda was born on November 25, 1971 in Akron, Ohio on Thanksgiving Day. While everyone was sitting around eating Thanksgiving Dinner, our family welcomed a beautiful baby girl.
She graduated from North High School, earned her Medical Assistant Diploma at the National Institute of Technology and earned her Medical Coding and Billing Certificate.
She worked many years with individuals with special needs, including employment with REMS Ohio and billing and coding with Synchrony Bank.
Larhonda enjoyed being a mother and loved her two children JayShawn and Aevaeh dearly. She was a very sociable person who had a beautiful smile, loved to crack jokes, trash talk, laugh, and hang out with friends and family. At times she would try to hide her caring nature by using the words “I don’t even care”, but in the next instance she would bend over backwards to help you out. She enjoyed doing nails, hair, coloring books and listening to music. She loved the Lord and attended bible study weekly.
She is preceded in death by her mother Jessie Mae Walker (Edward “Pee Wee” Walker); her dads John Curry, Jr., and James Abrams, Jr.
Larhonda leaves her legacy of love, faith and family to her son JayShawn Wynn-Curry and daughter Aevaeh Brown-Curry of Akron, Ohio, sister Anjanette Abrams of Sumter, South Carolina, brother James Abrams, III of Cleveland, Ohio, God sister Starleen Saulsberry and special cousins Lakesha Smith of Akron, Ohio and Betty Banks (Howard Banks) of Spotsylvania, Virginia along with a host of friends and families.
