Kanyae Martiez Lamb was born on November 9, 2003 in Akron, Ohio to Tamika Thornton (Lamonte Brooks) and Obie Harriston. Kanyae "Yae" was a devoted son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and friend. Yae loved his family, football and all the kids, he was the best babysitter ever! He was never caught without a smile. Yae protected and displayed unmatched loyalty to anyone he said he loved. Yae's pee-wee football years were devoted to the Patterson Park Vikings. If he wasn't playing football, he was walking the neighborhood with a lawn mower to keep money in his pocket. Yae's football career continued to North High Vikings, that's also where he began displaying love for music. We all knew his voice to carry it's own signature tune. During these years when most lose their friends to disloyal behavior him and his remained solid, mother's couldn't break their bond, BBM gang gang. He loved to spend most of his time at cousin/auntie Netra's, eating, playing the game, and hanging with his loved ones. His presence, smile and individual bonds he created with everyone will truly be missed. Kanyae was preceded in death by his special aunt, Thelma Merriweather; grandfather, Obie; grandmother, Joan and special cousin, T.J. He leaves to cherish his memory, mother, Tamika Thornton (Lamonte Brooks); father, Obie Harriston; sisters, Breasia Thornton, Mykah and Myana; brothers, Mation Thornton, Lamonte Brooks, Jr., Cartel Lamb, Deontae, Amanierre, and Malik; grandmother, Tracey Thornton; grandfather, Michael (Niecey) Reynolds; special aunts, Erica Buck, Netra Johnson and Danice Thornton; son son, Kaiden; special friend, Davon (Young); special little cousins, True, Tiaqan and Dinero; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
