JANICE MARIE HOLCOMB

Janice Marie Cheatham passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. She was the second child born on May 6, 1942 to Van and Jesse Cheatham in Barberton Ohio. Janice was a dedicated Muslim and a pillar in her community. Janice was educated through the Barberton public high school system and later had a career as a seamstress making safety fire apparel for firefighters. Janice retired early and became a dedicated housewife.

Janice enjoyed making custom curtains and clothes for customers include prom dresses and homecoming dresses and enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren. Janice also enjoyed knitting and crocheting blankets and other items would she thin past the skills onto her grandchildren. Janice had seven children, Kenyette, Earl III, Lamar, Jamal, Felisha, Tunisha, and Jamilla.

Husband Earl Holcomb Jr., her children Kenyette Moore (Robert), Earl Holcomb III (Masami), Lamar Holcomb (Sherea), Jamal Holcomb (Saconda), Felisha Holcomb (Demetrius), Tunisha Holcomb Black (Donald), Jamilla(deceased)(Maceo) and 24 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Betty Cross, Sandra Sherman, Van (Gwendolyn) Cheatham Jr., Mae (Micheal) Jackson, Jermiah Cheatham, David (Leila) Cheatham, and Vance (Tina) Cheatham and a host of extended family member including nieces and nephews along with her countless friends.
