JAMES P. WHITFIELD, JR.

James “Country” Whitfield, Jr.  was born in Houston, Mississippi, July 13, 1958, to the parents of James Whitfield Sr., and Elizabeth Frazier. 

James sadly left us on October 25, 2024.  He is preceded in death by his dad, James “Peter” Whitfield, Sr.; and stepfather, Arthur L. Frazier.

James loved to fish, dance and clown around.  He was the family comedian.

James leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Elizabeth; brothers, George (Sandra) Yancy, Michael Birton, and Jermaine Whitfield; sisters, Bobbie Densley, Lillie (Jerry) Wofford, Esteria (Sylvester) Newkirk, Allison Blanchard, Starr Birton and Tanga Perkins; and a host of nieces, aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends. James will be missed by all.
