JAMES LUCAS Obituary

James Lucas, age 26 went home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2019.  James was born on January 16, 1992 in Canton, Ohio to the late Traci L. Griffin and Jerald Lucas, Sr. He  graduated from Canton South High School where he enjoyed playing football, basketball and baseball. A true sports fanatic, James    attended Ashland University on an athletic scholarship. He loved spending time with his family and was a   loving father, brother, uncle, and devoted friend. He could light up a room with his infectious smile and would warm the hearts of  anyone he encountered. James lived to make others laugh and was the protector of those he loved, especially his siblings.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.   In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by his grandmother, Jean Lucas; aunt, Tammara Griffin; great-grandparents, George and Zeara Griffin.  He leaves to mourn his passing his children, Jhenesis Mone’y Lucas  and Greyson James Parsons; father, Jerald Lucas, Sr.; siblings, Katrees Bryant, Jerald Lucas, Jr., Shawn Hall, Markesha Grffin, Allay Lucas, John Lucas; grandfathers, John (Cleo) Lucas and George (Ann) Griffin; grandmother, Jamesetta (Donald) Leathers; special aunts, Vanessa McAfee; special friends,  Allexis Farrell and Paige Parsons; best friends, Bryson Smith, Dejon Newell, Deandre “Tank Head” Jenkins and Tavaras Garner as well as a host of loving and caring aunts and uncles.
