JAMES W. LAWRENCE

On Thursday April 20, 2023, Mr. James Willie Lawrence, 72, passed away surrounded by his loved ones. He mounted on the wings of an eagle and flew to his heavenly home.

Lawrence was born March 3, 1951, in Grenada, Mississippi to the late Rufus and Addie B. (Evans) Lawrence Sr.

He was a former member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.  His hobbies included fishing, yard work, gardening and mechanical work. Lawrence retired from Kent State University after 15 years of service, however he was also formerly employed by Pioneer Beef Company in Grenada, Mississippi for 15 years.

Lawrence was preceded in death by both parents; wife; Morline Spearmon-Lawrence and brother; Rufus Lawrence Jr.

He is survived by his daughters, Katrina D. Lawrence and Leslie (Leondre) Liddell both of Kent, Ohio, brother; Andrew (Bobbie) Lawrence Sr. of Denton, Texas, sisters; Mattie Lawrence-Lott of        Grenada, Mississippi, Beatrice (William) Berry of Ravenna, Ohio, Gloria (Frankie) Yates of Warren, Ohio, Ruby Lawrence-May of Stow, Ohio, grandson; Keondre James Liddell and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
