JAMES HARRIS "BOO" Obituary

James D. Harris, 71, departed this life unexpectedly on November 9, 2023. He was born in Warrenton, North Carolina and attended John Graham High School. He joined the United States Marine Corp in 1967 until 1971 and served during the Vietnam war. 

James came to Ohio in 1971 after an honorable discharge from the Marine Corp. He worked for Allside and retired from there in 1989. James met and married the love of his life, Sheila Harris, in 1975. 

James is preceded in death by his parents, Annie Blanks and Leon Harrington; grandparents, Patricia and Henry Harris; daughter, Diamond Love; Granddaughter, Sy'Myah Allen; mother-in-law, Lola Bitting. 

He leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife of 49 years, Sheila Harris; daughters, Lola Love, Vallery Harris, and Jamie (Ray) Harris; son, Leroy (Yvette) Love; sister, Kating Lloyd; special cousins, Arlene, Bettie and John Harris all of North Carolina, Carolyn and Ramon of Akron, and Karla Hollinsworth of Akron; special son-in-law, Jesse Little of Akron; close friends, James Beaman of Barberton, Walter Reed and Raymond Vaugh; 14 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren; his Barberton Crew who were like family; and a host of other relatives and friends.
