IZELL REDWINE Obituary

In the early hours of June 4th, God called to Brother Izell Redwine, “Come Unto Me and Take Your Rest”.

Izell Redwine was born, October 13, 1931 to John Henry and Mary Lema Redwine in Carrollton, Georgia.

After high school, he served in the United States Army, enabling him to tour many European countries, including Germany and France.

Izell accepted the Lord at an early age in Carrollton, Georgia. Izell’s family moved to Rome, Georgia where he became a member of Hillside Baptist Church.  After moving to Akron, he joined Macedonia Baptist Church, serving in various positions under the leadership of Pastor Frank Williams.  He later joined and was a dedicated member of Community Fellowship Chapel, serving as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. In 2003 he became a loyal and dedicated member of his beloved Arlington Street Church of God, under the leadership of Dr. Ronald J. Fowler, serving in the Food Pantry, Men’s Choir, Men’s Study Group, and Sunday School. Izell’s love for God led him to attend Moody Bible Institute, where he received a certificate in OT History.  He found great joy in leading young men to Christ.  Izell loved being with his family, gardening, and reading his Bible.

Izell leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Ella Murl; (2) children, Francine and Peaches; care takers, Floyd S. Jeffries, Sr., and Vickie Stone, Gaytra Warmington, Pat Chisholm and Brenda Brown; brother-in-law, Ernest McCalister, many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with an abundance of relatives and friends.
