HENRIETTA MCDAY
Obituary
Henrietta McDay, 68, went home to be with the Lord and loved ones.
She was born in Akron, Ohio August 22, 1953, graduated from South High School and worked for McNell’s Car for over 20 years. In addition, she attended Akron University and Gerber Cosmetology.
She was Miss Black Akron in the 70’s. She moved to Las Vegas but returned to Akron in 2022.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her daughter; Fiona, mother; Janie McDay, sisters; Willie Mae McDay, Evelyn Bennett, Eloise Chatman and brother; Alfred McDay.
She is survived by her only sister; Gloria Jean McDay-Brown, special aunt; Rose Pruett and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no services, per her wishes, Cremation has already taken place.
We would like to thank Akron City Hospital, Cuyahoga Nursing Home. Merriman Nursing Home and Rhoden Memorial Home.
Celebration of Life will take place on May 29, 2023, at Copley Community Park Pavilion B 3232 Copley Road. Akron, Ohio 44321.
