HELENORE L. OWENS

Helenore L. Owens, 46, of Akron Ohio passed away on 2/27/2025 after a lengthy battle. Helenore was born on 11/10/1978 to Ronald Winters Sr. And Helen Winters in Akron Ohio. After Helenore graduated from Life Skills, she went to study medical billing and coding at the National Institute of Technology. She worked for several companies in her life including Red Cross, Urban vision, All State, and Teleperformance.

Helenore was better known as “Bone” by family and friends. Lovingly called Sweetie by her Husband David Owens, whom she met in 1995 at Central Hower High School.  Helenore was a Die-Hard football fan, her favorite football teams were Philadelphia Eagles, and Ohio State Buckeyes. O-H!!!

She loved to travel, she loved to cook, she loved to Bake her Christmas cookies, she loved to dance and sing. Anyone that knew Helenore knew her favorite time of year was Christmas. She had an infectious smile that you could see from miles away. Although she strongly disliked cheerleaders, she was everyone’s cheerleader. She gave love, support, a lending hand, or ear whenever she could.  But most of all she loved her Family!

From her son, he would like to say, “I will miss you forever and ever and I appreciate you forgiving me life, me and my siblings will miss you the most.” From her daughters “We miss you dearly, if we could tell you one more thing it would be we are so proud of you and we love you.”

Helenore was proceeded in death by her mother Helen Winters. She is survived by her husband David Owens. Children Kay Jreonna Winters, Dion-Dre' and Sa’Riyah Owens. Brothers Ronald (Dorthy) Winters jr. Monte Dragg, Desmen Dandridge. Sisters Felicia Dandridge, BreAnna Winters. Parents Ronald Winters Sr. Brenda Fraser. Her sisters and brothers Dedra, Tracey, and Martin Owens.

Helenore also leaves behind her grandchildren ZyHeir, Tayvon, YaNiyah, and Karmen  Covington. A host of Nieces and Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
