GLORIA JEAN (TAYLOR) GRAVES

Gloria Jean (Taylor) Graves, age 78, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 7, 2021.  Gloria was born on January 9, 1942 in Canton, Ohio to the late Cola and Daisy Taylor.

She graduated from McKinley High School.  After graduation, Gloria married the love of her life Arthur Graves.  To this union two children were born, Jeffrey and Eric.

Gloria was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.  She retired from the Timken Company after 30 years of dedicated service.   Gloria was kind, loving, and generous.  She enjoyed her family, shopping, and eating out.

In addition to her parents, Gloria is preceded in death by her sons,  Jeffrey and Eric; sister, Celleta “Clo” Suggs; brother, Cola Taylor; nephew, Ronnie Suggs and great nephew, Terrence Suggs.

Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Arthur; grandsons, Eric Jr. of Columbus, Juan McElroy and Elijah Graves both of Canton, Ohio; granddaughters, Robin Graves of Charlotte, North Carolina, Christian Graves of Canton, Ohio and Arianna Graves of Columbus, Ohio; (9) great-grandchildren, Eric Jr., Tyler, Taylor, Jace, Zion, and Erykuh Graves Jautia, Sa’Nhi and Juan McElroy; her only surviving brother, William (Linda) Taylor; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Eddie) Graves, Curtis Graves, Kevin (Debbie) Stevenson; sisters-in-law, Mary Frances (Blaine) Davis of Rio Vista, California, Alma Bailey, Jeaneen Stevenson, and Sondra  Taylor of Canton, Ohio, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
