On Monday, July 27, 2020 Fredrick “Freddy” Hall’s sunset for the final time. After an extended first time. Born in Canton, Ohio on November 25, 1943, Freddy was raised by Leila Williams and grew up in a wonderful family in Waynesburg, Ohio. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he attended basic training and advance initial training at Fort Lee, VA. Upon completion of his initial training he served his country proudly in Vietnam where he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with two overseas bars, the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal & The Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 devices. After being honorably discharged, Freddy returned to Canton and worked for the Timken Company for almost 40 years. His passion and love for children & adults with special needs lead him to worillness, he was called home to be with the Lord and meet his Mother for the k for The Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MRDD) for several years. He enjoyed spending time with family & friends, traveling to new states, and attending concerts & Tyler Perry stage plays. He also enjoyed rooting for his favorite team the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition, he loved sharing precious moments with his grandchildren and feeding the ducks at Monument Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ella Mae Williams and James Hall; siblings, Corine, Bertha, Florence, Lorene, Eva, Cathy Abdul, Frank, Larry, Donald, Ronald; brother-in-laws, Lonnie “LC” Clark and Roy Henderson, and sister-in-law Ernestine Williams.
Freddy is survived by his two loving daughters, Geneva (Daniel) Stokes-Lindsay of Edgewood, Maryland and London (Thaddeus) Alexandrea of Las Vegas, NV.; (6) sisters, Catherine Clark, Gertha (David) Smith, Connie (Bill) Williams of Canton, Ohio; Delores Henderson of St. Paul, MN; Jamesena “Ena” (Isaac) Hall-Simmons of Atlanta, GA; and Deborah (Herman) Mitchell of Knoxville, TN.; (6) brothers, Harry Williams, and Gary Williams of Las Vegas, NV; Charles “Knucky” Williams and George Williams of Canton, Ohio; George (Shirley) Hall of Knoxville, TN; and Tommy Wayne Hall of Denver, CO.; (4) grandchildren, Thailand (Sarah) Lindsay and Jaden Lindsay of Edgewood, Maryland; Dyamond and Rome Alexandrea of Las Vegas, NV; and (7) wonderful great grandchildren. Freddy had many very special nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends that he loved immensely.
