FRANCINE (SUMMERS) WALLACE

Francine Wallace, age 66, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully in hospice care on July 3, 2025, after a courageous battle with end-stage renal failure.

Born on January 30, 1959, on Akron’s east side, Francine carried “Eastside Pride” in everything she did. She was the beloved daughter of the late Marion “Hot Rod” and Florence Summers. A graduate of Central-Hower High School, Francine went on to serve her community with compassion and strength through her work at Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare System (Toledo Campus) - a psychiatric hospital as a Therapeutic Program Worker, where she was medically retired.

Francine was deeply rooted in her faith and loved Jesus with her whole heart. If she wasn't at home, she was at a bible study or spending time with the people she loved. She was known for her wise advice, contagious laughter, and her ability to make everyone feel like family. Whether it was over a cup of coffee or a home-cooked meal, she never met a stranger. Her kindness and generosity touched countless lives, and she was always the first to offer a helping hand.

Francine is survived by her daughter, Janda (Clifford) Roberts, and her cherished granddaughter, Jace-Nicole Roberts. She also leaves behind her former husband, James Wallace, along with her extended family, friends, and many in the community who were blessed by her spirit.

A memorial service to celebrate Francine’s life will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Rhoden Memorial Home in Akron, Ohio. The wake will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at noon.

Her legacy of faith, humor, and love will continue to live on in all who knew her.
