EMOGENE JONES

Emogene Pickett Jones. aka “Emma.", was born on May 31, 1941, to the late Willie Pickett and Rosa Lee Pugh of Birmingham, Alabama. A homemaker who began a career at Chrysler Motor Company in 1976 retired in 2005.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Jones Jr. aka “Baby Jr.” and her brother Willie Picket Jr. her father Willie Pickett and her mother, Rosa Lee Pugh.

Her memory will be cherished by her children, Rose Marie (John E.) Smith, Jimmie Jones III and Patricia (Aaron) Wimberly; eight grandchildren, John D. Smith, Jermaine P. Smith, Jessie M. Smith, Jeremiah Smith, Jamell Jones, Shalicia Jones, Patrice Mack, and Paul Mack: 16 great-grandchildren, Olivia R. Smith, Lidia F. Smith, Sophie K. Smith, Jermaine P. Smith Jr., Anaiyah N. Smith, Imani L. Smith, Savannah B. Peoples, Ava N. Smith, LeAna Jones, Jamelle Jones Jr., Makensie P. Jones, Mariah L. Jones, Ja'Ceyon E. Jones, Jayden Jones, MaKai Brooks, Kali Brooks; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
