Emma Lou (Watson) Page, was born on July 8, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Georgia and Earnest Watson, Sr. She moved with the family to Akron, Ohio at an early age and resided in the area until she passed after a long illness on November 15, 2024.
Emma attended and graduated from Akron Public Schools. She worked with children with disabilities at Broadview Heights Medical Center.
Emma was given the nickname "Jack" due to the way she took care of her younger siblings. She was kind-hearted and played the role of caregiver for her family. In her prime, she executed glamor with impeccable makeup, furs, and high heels.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia and Earnest Watson, Sr.; grandparents, Lucy Lenoir and Mattie Leatherwood; siblings, John Lee Leatherwood, Earnest Watson, Jr., Herbert (Brenda) Watson and Colia Nation; daughter, Georgia Mae Watson; granddaughter, Cathy Wooden; nephews, Jay Telah Watson, Milo Watson, Jr., Charlie Nation and Michael Donnell Jones; best friends, Linda Williams and Carrie Garrett.
Emma is survived by her siblings, Terry (Josephine) Watson, Sidean (Denise) Watson, Sr., Milo Watson, Sr., Marvin (Tamica) Watson, and Convernita Neely; children, Marvin Lee Watson, Norenda Watson, Cateaka Watson and Kadocaus (Darlisa) Watson; dear friends, Louise Smith, Brenda Thompson and Carla Palmer; 20 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a host o many other relatives and friends.
